BEVARA DESIGN HOUSE TO DEBUT AT HIGH POINT MARKET, OCT. 20-26
The San Francisco-based company will premiere its unique line of eco-inspired home furnishings as part of the first-ever CA Boom East exhibition at the renowned North Carolina furniture expo conceptualizing and crafting its distinctly modern suite of sustainable home furniture, made from FSC reclaimed teak and other environmentally friendly materials. By placing special emphasis on functional, lasting design, the company has distinguished itself as a progressive company with forward thinking, yet rooted within the real-world demands of daily living. At this fall’s High Point Market in High Point, North Carolina, Bevara will finally and officially unveil its much-anticipated collection at High Point’s CA Boom East pavilion (a first for the innovative West Coast design show), located at Mill Village, a 22-acre hosiery mill complex more than a hundred years old.
Bevara is the brainchild of husband-and-wife team Stacy and Erik Jorgensen, who grew their company from a fundamental belief in responsible and creative design that caters elegantly to all aspects of the modern home, and not without a touch of whimsy. Some standouts from the line being featured at the upcoming High Point Market include the elegant “Hide” TV console and playful “Climb” shelving unit from a collection they call “Slatt”, both built locally from reclaimed teak. In addition and as part of their commitment to supporting artisans around the world, Bevara plans to showcase a coffee table handcrafted by artisans in Pratania, Brazil, as well as a collection of outdoor tables and benches made from “ecoConcrete,” a reinforced natural fiber cement. ecoConcrete contains cement, granite, stone and marble powder, as well as natural fiber which is 40 percent lighter than regular concrete. There will also be a selection of home accessories on hand to support the furniture.
“It’s such a privilege to be included in CA Boom’s inaugural East Coast installment—not to mention the famous High Point Market—where we hope to give furniture connoisseurs from all over a taste of design comprised of equal parts familiarity and imagination,” says co-founder Stacy Jorgensen. “We’ve put a lot of thought and detail into the various pieces of our collection and are excited for this opportunity to turn heads in October.”
Until then, Bevara will continue to put the finishing, refining touches on its collection. Stay tuned...
